Level of Effort Contract Identification, Evaluation, and Remediation of Contaminated Sites Throughout the State of Michigan State of Michigan Michigan Department of Environmental Quality   DLZ’s excellent reputation for managing the state of Michigan’s Level of Effort (LOE) contract has resulted in the firm receiving the number one ranking out of all of the engineering firms that responded to the request for proposal for the 2000 LOE contract. DLZ is currently serving as prime contractor to the state of Michigan and is assisting the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality - Environmental Response Division (MDEQ-ERD) under the new LOE contract awarded in 2005. Under this contract, DLZ has received new assignments to investigate and restore environmentally contaminated sites in Michigan. In addition, DLZ has continued with ongoing assignments under the previous LOE contract to bring the sites to closure.   To date, DLZ has received more than $30 million in assignments under three consecutive LOE contracts. More than 220 projects have been assigned to DLZ and include Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies, Remedial Design, Bidding Specification Preparation, Construction Oversight, PRP Searches, Cost Recovery, and Emergency Response Action.
